Building Inspectors

Luster National, Inc. is looking for qualified Building Inspectors who are willing to work for at least 90 days up to a potential 2-year assignment in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Texas, and Louisiana areas affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. FEMA or US Army Corps of Engineers experience is good but not required.

Job Description:
Building inspectors should have a minimum of 5 years experience working on construction projects as a building inspector, building construction craftsman, construction field engineer and/or construction superintendent. The preferred candidate's experience in construction should be primarily related to the construction of wood, masonry, steel, and concrete structures. Extensive knowledge and understanding of foundation construction, wood framing, concrete forming, steel erection, roofing, exterior rough-in and finish, interior rough-in and finish operations are essential to the performance of the building inspector's work. A general knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical construction methods is also necessary. The building inspectors must be able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. A working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet computer programs is preferable. Years of experience: Minimum of 5 years
