SCHEDULER for PROJECT AND CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT

OVERVIEW: Luster National, Inc. is seeking entry-level Schedulers located in the Sacramento and San Francisco, CA. metropolitan areas for assignment with our client, the Army Corps of Engineers. Duties include, but are not limited to, work-breakdown-structure (WBS) development, Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule development and maintenance, earned value management and schedule analysis using Oracle Financial Analyzer (OFA). Candidates must be proficient with Primavera P3; Experience with P3e/c is a plus. Experience working with Federal agencies, in particular the Army Corps of Engineers, is desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and maintain a detailed, resource-loaded schedule for multi-million dollar projects.
- Coordinate the preparation and issuance of schedules, cost and schedule reports, problem analysis reports, variance reports, and milestone reports, etc.
- Develop the schedule's Work Breakdown Structure, activity coding and resource definitions as required.
- Load resources, costs, and/or budgets and track actuals as required.
- Identify project schedule trends and perform analysis to mitigate delays and problems.
- Participate in schedule review and progress meetings.
- Possess the aptitude for learning cutting edge tactics, techiniques and procedures to enhance the quality of service provided to the client.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Between 2-5 years of scheduling experience with Primavera products. Must be proficient in Primavera P3; experience in P3e/c is desirable.
- Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) in a technical field such as Construction Management, Engineering, or Business. 2-5 years of experience in design and construction project controls can be substituted for a degree.
- Ability to set and manage priorities.
- Be computer literate (MAC or PC) including the following software: Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Access or Lotus 1-2-3.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Able to work as a team member, contributing to the overall program development by participating in group discussions in areas of expertise.
- Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction or supervision.
- High integrity and honesty with superb interpersonal skills to work effectively in the client workspace.
