Corporate Real Estate - Project Manager
OVERVIEW: Provide Project Management to the telecommunications industry. As a member of the design build corporate team participate in the remodel of existing facilities such as administrative offices, field service offices; central offices with state of the art tele-communication systems, warehouses, and vehicular repair and storage facilities. New construction includes state of the art tele-communication network centers and mobility towers for cellular communications. Participate in the implementation of stand-by generators and UPS, fire safety systems, environmental clean up, connections to the commercial power grid augmented by solar power, and building monitoring and security systems. Work with nationwide specialists in environmental health and safety, energy conservation, environmental abatement, and learn from experts in the field of network communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Client Satisfaction, Cost Reduction, and Process Improvement
- Execute and complete projects safely while maintaining tele-communications Network reliability.
- Initial tasks include determining project scope, analyze the potential scope of architectural and engineering services; estimate construction scope, establish preliminary schedules and budgets, and prepare a comprehensive Project Plan.
- Coordinate environmental investigations; prepare reports of environmental considerations.
- Prepare architectural, engineering and construction contracts.
- Prepare project budget based on bids and compare construction costs with early forecasted costs.
- Establish a critical path of dates and delivery.
- Initiate or implement appropriate corrective action and change orders when needed.
- Ensure all documentation including as-builts, permits, certifications, warranties, and client surveys are completed prior to project completion.
- Provide clients with: training, operating and maintenance instructions, system testing and acceptance documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, or certificates of accreditation in the fields of Construction Management, or Property Management.
- Minimum 12 years experience with a knowledge of construction, design, project administration, and project management.
- The experience of working in a corporate environment and dealing with industry practices, processes, and standards.
- Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, spreadsheet analysis, cost management programs, and project management software.
