BAKERSFIELD, California - June 16, 2004  Cathy Butler (left), President of the Bakersfield Downtown Business Association, gladly accepts the check from Virginia Florendo of Luster National, Inc. Luster is the major Street Fair Sponsor for 2004. Four Street Faires will be held throughout the summer, which are designed to promote downtown Bakersfield as a shopping and entertainment destination. The first of the four events was held May 17th, 2004. The theme for the second event on June 17th is "Summer Home & Art Faire" and features real estate information booths, home decorating ideas, a Farmer's Market, classic cars and an art and entertainment salute to Hawaii.
