OVERVIEW

Luster National, Inc. is the Construction Manager for the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP) on this new construction maximum security U.S. Penitentiary and minimum security work Camp outside of Tucson, Arizona. These facilities are part of the FBOP's national construction program. The Design-Build contractor began the design portion of the contract in November 2002 and site clearing began in December, 2002.

This is Luster's second project as Construction Manager for the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The first, a $91.6 million U.S. Penitentiary / Federal Prison Camp at Atwater, California, was completed in 2001.

For this Design-Build construction project, Luster provides construction management support services, including construction & design document review, administrative support, quality assurance inspection, estimating, scheduling, project controls and related services. Luster is also responsible for progress reports, review of contractor pay applications, document and claims controls and management of the progress review process.

The project is on budget and on schedule with no claims.
