These projects are part of a 15-year, $6.5 billion capital improvement program, including various land and airside facilities, at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.  Since 2001, LUSTER construction management services have supported the completion of six major projects at the airport. Overall project completion is scheduled for 2016.

LUSTER is a member of the joint venture team of professionals selected by the City of Atlanta to manage the construction of the Fifth Runway (R/W 10-28) and other projects associated with the Hartsfield-Jackson Development Program’s capital expansion and renovation of the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.  LUSTER National, Inc.’s first project of the program was the highly successful $1 Billion Fifth Runway (10-28).  This project resulted in the development of a 9,000-foot runway and associated taxiways, lighting, signage, pavement markings, NAVAIDS and associated drainage that required the placement of approximately 20-million cubic yards of embankment material.  It also included the construction of two (2) bridge structures over I-285, a six-lane highway, without impacting existing vehicular traffic.  The bridges were designed to carry up to a one (1) million pound aircraft.
