Demetrius Oatis, Associate Vice President, East Region Operations Manager

About

Demetrius Oatis is the Associate Vice President of East Region Operations at Luster National, joining the company in 2017. He has over 35 years of combined experience as an Army Officer, IT Consultant, and Project Manager for Fortune 100 companies, as well as a Distribution Center and Logistics Facility Manager.

Demetrius is responsible for leading the administrative support functions for the company, including chairing the Administrative Support Team, national in scope, ensuring the team works together to achieve company objectives. He has also led teams that have successfully responded to several RFQs and RFPs in a timely and accurate manner, resulting in large-scale projects for the company.

Demetrius provides regional recruiting support for the East Region. He brings to bear strong outreach and retention capabilities, working closely with clients and staff to exceed service delivery expectations. Additionally, Demetrius supports National Sales efforts as needed and provides IT support for the East and Central Regions, ensuring that all IT assets are properly documented. He currently chairs Luster’s Information Technology efforts ensuring the company is positioned at the leading edge, providing a strategic advantage internally and externally.

Under Demetrius’s leadership, Luster has grown its Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) presence into 5 of the 7 GDOT Districts, recognizing Luster as one of the premier, go-to DBEs in the state of Georgia.

Education

• 1984 graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York with a degree in Mechanical Engineering

• MBA – Operations Management from American Intercontinental University, Atlanta, GA
